LANDSCAPING CREW 
JOB DESCRIPTION(S)

Crew Leader​

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a landscaping crew.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a crew, ensuring quality work and high productivity.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Stable work history with at least 2 years at one company (must provide past employer references).

  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and an understanding of landscaping best practices.

Duties:

  • Supervise and lead a team of landscapers in the completion of tasks.

  • Ensure quality standards are met for all landscaping services (mowing, trimming, fertilizing, etc.).

  • Maintain accurate logs of work completed and report any issues to the office.

  • Ensure that all crew members have the necessary tools and equipment.

  • Train new crew members on safety procedures and landscaping techniques.

  • Ensure that crew members work efficiently and that jobs are completed on time and according to customer specifications.

  • Perform inspections and ensure work quality meets company standards.

 

 

 

General Manager 

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience running a landscaping company or similar home services business.

  • Proven track record of sales success and managing a company with $750K+ revenue.

  • Experience managing multiple locations or large teams.

  • Strong knowledge of landscaping industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to travel overnight for business purposes.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the landscaping company, including budgeting, staffing, and performance metrics.

  • Lead the sales efforts, creating and managing sales strategies for residential and commercial accounts.

  • Manage company financials, including pricing, cost analysis, and revenue growth.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all departments.

  • Manage multiple locations or crews, ensuring efficiency, high-quality service, and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Review and adjust business operations to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Landscape Tech I

Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience in landscaping.

  • Ability to operate basic equipment such as backpack blowers, push mowers, and edgers.

  • Comfortable with pulling weeds, trimming grass edges, and general maintenance.

  • Willingness to learn and grow in the landscaping field.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with general landscaping tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and weeding.

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are in good working condition.

  • Report any damage or issues with equipment or the work site.

  • Assist with planting, mulching, and other landscaping tasks as needed.

 

 

 

Landscape Tech II

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of landscaping experience.

  • Ability to operate a weed eater, blower, edger, and trimming shrubs.

  • Proficient in landscaping maintenance with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to complete tasks quickly, professionally, and safely.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Operate advanced landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Perform general landscaping services, including mowing, trimming, and weed control.

  • Responsible for trimming shrubs, hedges, and other ornamental plants.

  • Ensure the safety of the crew and the quality of service.

  • Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies.

 

Landscape Tech III

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in landscaping with expert knowledge of all equipment.

  • Ability to operate all landscaping equipment professionally and safely.

  • Capable of handling more complex tasks such as tree trimming, irrigation system repairs, and heavy equipment operation.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

 

Duties:

  • Lead and perform more complex landscaping tasks, including tree trimming, irrigation, and detailed lawn care.

  • Train and mentor less experienced crew members.

  • Perform equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.

  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

 

 

 

 

Part-Time Shop Mechanic

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with 2-cycle engine repair, truck maintenance, and machine maintenance.

  • Ability to track inventory and maintain equipment records.

  • Knowledge of landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

  • Available to work 3 days per week or Saturdays.

 

Duties:

  • Maintain and repair landscaping equipment.

  • Track and manage inventory of parts and equipment.

  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after each use.

  • Drop off or swap out equipment on-site for crews.

  • Monitor the performance of vehicles and equipment and suggest maintenance schedules.
